Parent Advisory Committee
Parent Advisory Committee
The West Shore ESD Special Education Parent Advisory Committee (SEPAC) is comprised of parents of students with disabilities who are nominated by their local school district and then appointed by the West Shore ESD board to serve on the committee. The SEPAC is involved in the development and revision of the West Shore ESD Plan for the Delivery of Special Education Programs and Services. The parent representatives on the committee are a valuable resource as they have knowledge about special education processes from their committee work and they also have the unique perspective of being a parent of a student with a disability. In an effort to recognize the many people, organizations, and businesses that go above and beyond to support individuals with special needs, the SEPAC started the annual Make a Difference Award in 2016. See below for the West Shore ESD Special Education Make a Difference Award Nomination Form and the list of past recipients.
