Course Description

Health care is a high demand field and provides a rewarding career. The Health Occupations course is designed to introduce students to the healthcare industry and its many related careers. The curriculum for this course is infused with a focus on health career exploration, health care professional behavior, introduction to human anatomy, basic patient care skills, medical terminology, and industry-related certification standards. Students will be encouraged to take advantage of job shadows in areas related to career interest.
